Pasta House Company Fettuccine Alfredo

For years I tried and tried to make the perfect Alfredo sauce. Thank goodness for this Pasta House recipe I've tweaked to make low-fat!
Ingredients:
10 oz fettuccine
8 oz fat-free half-and-half (original called for cream/half-and-half but I choose to remove those calories and it tastes just fine to me)
1 oz butter
1/4 grated Parmesan cheese
Cracked black pepper

Directions:
In a large pot of salted, boiling water, cook pasta until 3/4 cooked. Strain off water and return to pot. Add cream and butter. Bring to a hard boil. When pasta is fully cooked, remove from heat and add Parmesan cheese and cracked black pepper. Toss and serve.  Serves 2-4, depending on if it's the main dish.
