Amish Cinnamon Friendship Bread

This recipe requires you have a starter bag of batter. You'll know when you get one. The main reason I wanted to list this recipe is for everyone to share their variations, do's and don'ts.  Please leave any comments you may have about this yummy bread.

Chocolate Martini

There are thousands of variations of this drink, I found great recipes on www.drinksmixer.com.  I found this one and altered it just a touch and think it tastes best made as below. Enjoy!

Homemade pudding

Just like my mom made. :)  No instant pudding here folks, be prepared to use a pot on the stove but it's well worth it!

Banana Buttermilk Bread

The basic but fantastic banana bread. For something more special, check out the Peanut Butter-Chocolate Chip Banana Bread.

Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip

If you like chicken wings and cheese (and who doesn't?), and you haven't tried Buffalo Wing Dip...now is your chance. This recipe tastes great, is easy to make, and you can adjust the amounts of most of the ingredients to your specific taste.  Like blue cheese? Use all blue cheese dressing.  Like ranch? Use more ranch! That easy!

Breakfast Casserole

It doesn't really get any easier than this.  Every time I make this, there are no left-overs. Great for hosting a large or small brunch.  I like to make them in throw away pans and toss in the freezer for later use.

Oreo Cookie Pie

The name says it all.  Or, just call it Bridget's favorite.  OK, it's mine too.  Quite tasty but of course, my favorite cookies are Oreos so I guess it's no surprise.  I've found this recipe makes a bit more than a 9" pie, so I like to make a smaller version for the kids.  This ensures they get some in case the guests eat all the dessert!

Chicken and Grape Salad

A fresh new twist on the standard chicken salad. I had no idea these ingredients would combine to make the best chicken salad ever! This recipe serves 6-8. Best on croissants but quite tasty on whole grain as well.

Easy Microwave Fudge

Why spend hours stirring a hot pot? Use a microwave - this is a tasty recipe for fudge that is easy enough for ANYONE to make!

Sloppy Joes

I know, Sloppy Joe sauce comes from a can. But who likes the taste of tin? Seriously though, most store-bought Sloppy Joe contains MSG (mono-sodium glutamate) which I'm intolerant of...really I am. So I found this one and tested - it's so much better than any can!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

I've tried many but this is my personal favorite - and my kids' too!

Braunschweiger Dip (Liver Pate)

Spell check can't fix that word! I had no idea that was not a standard word in the English dictionary, especially when I could find that "meat" any given day in the family fridge.  Well, here is a yummy use for this uniquely German meat.  Also of interest...learn more about the difference between Braunschweiger and Liverwurst.

BLT Dip

The favorite of many but made best by Jil!

O'Toole Pot 'O Beans

Anyone who has known me for a while has tasted (or at least seen) this dish. Handed over to me from my sister-in-law (thanks Lori!), they are the best beans you'll ever eat. Beware..this is not a "light" dish but well worth it, especially at a BBQ or by camp fire.  This dish also works well in a crock pot or simmering for some time in a large pot on stove (in home or over fire).

Avocado Quiche

I love quiche and this is one of my favorites to make. It's a nice change of pace from the standard meat/cheese quiche. Note: This recipe yields TWO quiches!
