Homemade pudding

Just like my mom made. :)  No instant pudding here folks, be prepared to use a pot on the stove but it's well worth it!


Ingredients:
 3 C milk
3/4 C sugar
4-1/2 Tbl corn starch

Directions:
Mix dry ingredients in lidded container by shaking well. Heat milk.  Slightly before boiling add dry ingredients slowly while stirring. Stir well until mixture starts to boil.  Remove from heat and chill or put into pie crust to chill. Will thicken upon chilling.

Variations:
Vanilla - add:
1 tsp vanilla
1-1/2 tsp butter
Drop of yellow food coloring

Banana:
Prepare vanilla as directed above. Add 2 sliced bananas.  If for a banana pie, lay banana slices on bottom of pie crust, then pour pudding over bananas.

Chocolate:
After dry ingredients are mixed in well, add 1/2 C of chocolate chips.
